Transfusing

The act of transfusion carries an understanding of the body that transcends the notion of a discrete, autonomous entity. Instead, transfusion proposes an environmental recomposition—an interdependent, interconnected process that resists containment. Architecture is porous, contagious, permeable. Architecture does not stand apart from human and non-human interactions; it actively participates in their entanglement. It absorbs and transmits social, political, and material forces, making transfusion an essential argument for architectural practice.
